该公司在发给员工的一份备忘录中说，被裁掉的职位约占其全球总部团队的8%。
塔吉特首席运营官、候任CEO迈克尔·菲德尔克在备忘录中表示，这些变化旨在帮助公司更快地发展，简化工作流程。
“事实是，随着时间的推移，我们创造的复杂性一直在阻碍我们，”他说。“太多的层次和重叠的工作放慢了决策的速度，使想法难以实现。”
菲德尔克表示，该公司要求其美国总部的所有员工下周在家工作，因为这些变化正在实施，有关裁员的细节将于下周二公布，受影响的员工将于下周二收到通知。
