法利说：“在短期内，我认为电动汽车的采用率将只占美国市场的5%左右，但这一比例将会增长，尤其是对于价格合理的电动汽车。我们凭借通用电动汽车平台为这一目标做好了准备，该平台支撑着数字先进、非常宽敞、极具吸引力的产品，这些产品的起价约为3万美元。”
福特汽车当天公布的第三季度业绩超出了华尔街的预期，但由于供应商火灾的影响，该公司下调了2025年的预期，这场火灾扰乱了其高利润的大型卡车和SUV的生产。
该公司表示，上个月铝材供应商Novelis在纽约的工厂发生火灾，预计将造成15亿至20亿美元的损失，但预计今年和明年将减轻大部分损失，主要是在供应增加后增加受影响汽车的生产。
福特股价在周四盘后交易时段最初下跌，随后反弹至上涨约4%。该股周四收于每股12.34美元，今年迄今累计上涨24%。
