0934 GMT - Eni bucks the trend among its peers by increasing its buyback commitment by 20%, UBS analysts write. The Italian energy major will now buy back 1.8 billion euros of shares, a 300 million euro increase on its prior target, at a time when oil companies are cutting buyback rates amid weaker oil prices and rising debt. Eni's earnings were boosted by a lower tax rate and a strong performance in its upstream division, they write. Shares trade up 2.4% at 15.96 euros. (adam.whittaker@wsj.com)
