Alibaba May Likely Go "All-in in AI" to Maintain AI leadership -- Market Talk

0253 GMT - Alibaba will likely be "all-in in AI" to maintain its AI leadership in China, Barclays analysts say in a research note. The analysts think that Alibaba has a good chance to make its large language model and agent development platform the standard in China upon which developers build applications and AI agents. While the U.S. and China lead AI development, vast parts of the world may need AI and at least partially lean on one of the two AI powers, the analysts say, adding that AliCloud should have its fair share. Southeast Asia and Middle East should be significant overseas markets for AliCloud in the near term while parts of Europe could also be attractive opportunities in the long term given today's changing geopolitical landscape, they add.(sherry.qin@wsj.com)
