不过IT之家注意到，目前该价格提示仅出现在游戏主机端的商店页面中（网页端 / 移动设备 App 端尚未上线），并且仅在游戏处于打折促销状态时可见。
值得注意的是，索尼并未通过官方博客等渠道对此功能进行任何宣传，这种“静默上线”的方式引发了外界对其背后动机的猜测。
有分析指出，此类价格历史显示功能早在几年前已被欧盟大部分地区列为强制性法律规定。因此索尼此次更新，更可能是在提前应对或遵循日益严格的全球性市场监管法规，而非单纯的“为了玩家”行为。
