CITIC Securities (SHA:600030, HKG:6030) guaranteed $28.8 million to its unit, CSI MTN, for the issuance of bonds of the same amount, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Tuesday.
The bonds, issued in three tranches, were part of the securities broker's offshore medium-term bond program.
CITIC's Hong Kong shares jumped nearly 5% in Tuesday's late morning trade.
