Enphase Will Struggle In Changing Residential Solar Market -- Market Talk
Dow Jones
Oct 24
1320 ET - Enphase Energy may have a difficult time adjusting to the new solar landscape with a tax credit for homeowner-owned solar systems set to expire at the end of the year, say Mizuho analysts, who downgrade the stock to neutral. Residential solar demand will fall 20% in 2026 and the market will transition more toward third-party owned systems. Enphase is trying to roll out its own alternative to homeowner owned systems, launching a hybrid lease product that would be less expensive than a traditional third-party owned system. But such a product will likely be too complex for homeowners, the analysts say.(nicholas.miller@wsj.com)
