Shares of Pegasystems were trading higher in the after-hours market, following the release of third-quarter financial results which showed the company swinging to a gain in the period.
After the bell, the company's shares were up 13%, at $64.71. The stock hit a 52-week intraday high of $61 on Sept. 24.
The shares closed the day's regular session with a 4.1% gain, at $57.05.
For the third quarter, Pegasystems announced earnings per share of 24 cents on revenue of $381.4 million. In the prior-year period, the company had a loss per share of 8 cents on revenue of $325 million.
On an adjusted basis, the company reported third-quarter EPS of 30 cents, above the 19 cents reported in the year ago period.
Pegasystems also said its annual contract value grew 14% year over year.
Alan Trefler, the software company's founder and chief executive officer, said Pegasystems' differentiated AI strategy continues to resonate with clients, prospects, and partners.
