Black Canyon (ASX:BCA) said assays from phase three reverse circulation drilling at the Wandanya project in Western Australia confirmed thick, shallow high-grade manganese and iron mineralization, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
Drilling hit intercepts of 10 meters at about 29% grade of manganese from one meter, as well as 16 meters at over 58% grade of iron from two meters, the filing said. Drilling delineated manganese mineralization along 3 kilometers of strike as well as outcropping to shallow iron mineralization over a kilometer of strike.
A diamond drilling program to obtain core samples for metallurgical test work is planned to start at the project in early November, per the filing.
The firm's shares fell over 5% in recent trading on Tuesday.
