China Feihe (HKG:6186) said its wholly owned unit Feihe HLJ subscribed for 200 million yuan in financial products offered by Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, according to a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing.
Shares of the firm were up over 2% in Tuesday afternoon trade.
The investment comprises two Shangxin Xinyue Fengli Assembled Fund Trust Schemes, each worth 100 million yuan, with an expected annual return of 2.6% and maturity on August 18, 2026.
Following the latest subscriptions, the group's total outstanding principal in wealth management and structured deposit products from SPD Bank amounts to 2.2 billion yuan, according to the filing.
China Feihe said the investments are funded with idle cash and are aimed at enhancing capital efficiency while maintaining low risk and adequate liquidity.
