穆迪分析公司首席经济学家马克・赞迪（Mark Zandi）表示，美国经济目前仍在努力避免衰退，但形势已十分勉强，其最终走向可能取决于加利福尼亚州和纽约州的经济表现。

　　赞迪在周三的社交媒体帖子中重申了他的警示：贡献全美近三分之一GDP的州，要么已陷入衰退，要幺正处于高衰退风险中。另有三分之一的州“经济停滞不前”，剩余州虽仍保持增长，但增长势头已明显减弱。

　　赞迪写道：“各州的经济状况映射了全国趋势：美国经济尚未陷入衰退，但正艰难地避免衰退。这一点在就业市场上体现得很明显——非农就业岗位增长几乎陷入停滞，且在所有数据修正完成后，就业形势可能会显得更加疲软。”
