TGV Sraac Reports Transformer Failure, Output Hit by 120 TPD; Shares Fall 6%

TGV Sraac Ltd (BOM:507753) said a winding failure in a transformer supplied by Transformers and Rectifiers India has led to a production loss of about 120 tons per day (TPD) of caustic soda and 106 TPD of chlorine, according to a Sunday filing on BSE.
The impact may persist for around 60 days, the company said in the filing, adding it is coordinating with the supplier for rewinding and exploring other alternatives for early restart.
Shares of the company fell nearly 6% in Monday's trade.
