BUZZ-Chip stocks rise on US-China trade deal optimism

** U.S. shares of chip companies rise premarket after top U.S. and Chinese officials on Sunday outlined a framework for a trade deal

** Framework is for U.S. President Donald Trump and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping to decide on later this week in a highly-anticipated meeting in South Korea

** "I've got a lot of respect for President Xi and I think we're going to come away with a deal," Trump says

** Shares of NVIDIA NVDA.O, Broadcom AVGO.O and Advanced Micro Devices AMD.O rise more than 2% premarket

** AI server maker Super Micro Computer SMCI.O up 3.6%, while Micron MU.O is up 3.4%

** U.S. listed shares of Arm Holdings ARM.O climb 2.5% while Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing TSM.N up 1.7%

** Shares of Intel INTC.O and Qualcomm QCOM.O up about 1%

** Up to last close, Philadelphia SE Semiconductor index .SOX has risen ~40% this year
