10月28日，据报道，贝恩资本(Bain Capital)正考虑以高达40亿澳元(约合26亿美元)的交易金额收购达美乐披萨(DPZ.US)。消息传出后，达美乐披萨股价在悉尼交易中一度飙升23%。截至当地时间上午11点22分停牌前，股价上涨17%，至每股18.13澳元，令公司市值达到17亿澳元。
据报道援引知情人士消息称，美国私募股权公司贝恩资本一直在就收购达美乐披萨的全部或部分股权进行磋商。目前尚不清楚谈判进展到何种程度，且尚未正式聘请顾问。
达美乐披萨的最大股东、亿万富翁Jack Cowin于今年早些时候亲自接管公司，致力于推动业务转型。他计划让公司摆脱对高价策略和食品优惠券的依赖，转向更低的价格和更少的促销代币，以使菜单价格更加透明。
