The UK Competition and Markets Authority said Tuesday it has launched a merger inquiry into Fidelity National Information Services' (FIS) proposed acquisition of Total System Services.
The regulator said it will decide by Dec. 24 whether to refer the deal for a more in-depth phase 2 investigation.
Fidelity National Information Services did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
