Avolta Is Recovering After Weak Quarter -- Market Talk

1108 GMT - Avolta's October trends point to a recovery after its third-quarter performance fell short of expectations, Vontobel's Manuel Lang says in a research note. A flatlining North American market hurt the Swiss travel retail group's third-quarter results, with organic growth in core turnover of 4.8% missing consensus expectations of a 5.4% rise, the analyst says. Nevertheless, the company is showing signs of improvement, with organic growth accelerating to 6% in October as its North American operations reached an inflection point, Vontobel says. Consensus expectations seem unlikely to change significantly after the update, the analyst says. Shares fall 0.5% to 41.46 Swiss francs. (adria.calatayud@wsj.com)
