HF Sinclair Corporation has announced plans to expand its Midstream refined products network across PADD 4 and PADD 5, aiming to address supply and demand imbalances in key western markets such as Nevada and California following refinery closures on the West Coast. The proposed multi-phased expansion could enable the delivery of up to 150,000 barrels per day of refined products into various markets. The first phase, targeted for completion in 2028, would add 35,000 barrels per day of capacity by expanding the Pioneer Pipeline from Sinclair, Wyoming to Salt Lake City, Utah, and debottlenecking the UNEV Pipeline from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas, Nevada. Additional phases under review include further expansion of the Pioneer Pipeline, a new lateral from Salt Lake City to Reno, Nevada, and the expansion and reversal of the Medicine Bow Pipeline between Denver and Sinclair. All projects are subject to board and regulatory approvals.
