Cipla (NSE:CIPLA, BOM:500087) named Achin Gupta, global chief operating officer, as managing director and global chief executive officer effective April 1, 2026, according to a Thursday filing to the Indian bourses.
He will take over from incumbent MD and global CEO, Umang Vohra, who has expressed his intention not to seek re-appointment to the position on completion of his current term on March 31, 2026.
The company's shares were down nearly 3% in recent trade.
