KGL Resources (ASX:KGL) completed an AU$11 million placement through the issue of 78.6 million new fully paid ordinary shares at AU$0.14 apiece to advance development activities, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
Resource Capital Fund increased its stake in the firm to around 9.9% via the placement. The fundraising also introduced new institutional investors to the firm's register.
Proceeds will be used for priority enabling works and procurement activities, as well as for general working capital requirements.
Its board set up a project steering committee for the Jervois copper project in the Northern Territory, comprising five members, including two technical and project-delivery professionals provided by Resource Capital Fund.
