Turaco Gold (ASX:TCG) said an update to the mineral resource estimate for the Afema project in the Ivory Coast resulted in an increase to both ounces and grade to 102.9 million tonnes at 1.2 grams-per-tonne grade of gold for 4.06 million ounces, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The update reflects the inclusion of a maiden mineral resource estimate for the Begnopan and Toilesso deposits, along with an increase to the mineral resource estimate for the Asupiri deposit from recent drilling.

A further mineral resource estimate update incorporating additional drilling is expected to be delivered in the March quarter of 2026, which will then be the basis of the preliminary feasibility study, which is expected to be completed in the following quarter.
