Philippines' PPI for Manufacturing Edges Up in September

The Philippines' producer price index (PPI) for manufacturing edged up 1% year on year in September, faster than the 0.6% rise in the month prior, data from the Philippine Statistics Authority showed Thursday.

In September 2024, the index slid 1.4%.

The quicker increase was driven mainly by a 1.6% rise in the manufacture of transport equipment industry division, versus a 2.5% drop in the month before.

Month-on-month, the PPI rose 0.223% in September from 0.219% in August, the data showed.
