通用汽车通知旗下三家工厂，约5500名员工至少暂时被解雇。继美国总统唐纳德·特朗普取消关键性税收抵免政策之后，该公司正重新评估电动汽车生产。

　　上述数字包括底特律Factory Zero工厂今夏实行无薪休假的3400名工人，该厂生产电动雪佛兰Silverado、GMC Sierra及悍马电动车。通用汽车周三表示，将评估所需生产，并在该厂于1月恢复单班运作时召回约1200人。其余2200人将无限期无薪休假。

　　此外，公司还在俄亥俄州沃伦的Ultium电池工厂裁撤1400人，在田纳西州斯普林希尔裁撤710人。公司发言人Kevin Kelly表示，俄亥俄州工厂约850人有望在5月返岗，550人考虑无限期裁撤；他表示，田纳西州的裁撤为临时性质。

　　这些削减反映通用汽车整体性收缩态势。随着市场急剧放缓，该公司已着手削减电动车产量。在特朗普政府9月终止每辆车最高7500美元的消费者税收抵免之前，电动车销售增速就已放缓。

　　通用汽车第三季度为其电动车投资计提16亿美元费用，并警告称，随着公司继续评估未来生产需求，第四季度还将计提更多费用。
