0249 GMT - Australia's 3Q inflation data implies a "material miss" on the Reserve Bank of Australia's forecasts to the upside on inflation, and the central bank is therefore likely to keep the cash rate on hold at its November meeting, says Luci Ellis, Westpac's chief economist. The upside CPI surprise and emerging consumer recovery also count against a December move, she adds. Even a February cut is far from certain now, given the size of the upside surprise this quarter, says Ellis, a former head of forecasting at the RBA. (james.glynn@wsj.com; Twitter @JamesGlynnWSJ)
