11月4日，福特汽车、起亚、现代电动汽车销售急剧下滑，许多美国购车人在总统特朗普终结新能源汽车税收抵免政策之前放弃购车计划。仅仅少量汽车制造商披露了10月份的销售数据，但结果出现了意料之中、关于联邦激励政策失效后电车销售下滑的早期迹象。
其中，福特汽车10月美国电动汽车销售同比下降25%——Mustang March-E下降12%、F-150 Lightning下降17%，起亚与现代的美国电车同比降幅介于52%-71%，现代Ioniq 5和Ioniq 9环比分别下降80%和71%，起亚的情况也差不多。
