Austal (ASX:ASB) said its unit Austal Defense Shipbuilding Australia has received around AU$15 million landing craft medium (LCM) design authority tasking statement from the Commonwealth of Australia, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The tasking statement appoints the unit as the design authority, the filing said.
The unit also expects an LCM design & build tasking statement in the fourth quarter of the year, the filing added.
