The healthcare sector inched up just 0.1% at midday Tuesday, with all other sectors on the Australian bourse trading in the red. The Reserve Bank of Australia is expected to maintain its monetary policy at its meeting today.

Imricor Medical Systems (ASX:IMR), whose shares jumped over 11%, said the first in-human ischemic ventricular tachycardia ablation ever performed under real-time magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) guidance was completed in an interventional cardiac magnetic resonance imaging laboratory. The procedure was performed at the Amsterdam University Medical Centre.

On the flip side, the utilities sector led the selloff, falling more than 2%.

Energy World (ASX:EWC) appointed Joseph Meyer as chief financial officer, effective Nov. 1.
