10月31日，记者获悉，北京市与国铁集团合作共建的市郊铁路东北环线工程已经全面投入建设。该线路纵贯朝阳、海淀和昌平三区，串联起国贸CBD、北京朝阳站枢纽、回天地区、未来科学城西区等重点功能区，将打造成全国首条市郊铁路示范线，计划于2030年实现全线通车运营。

日前，北京市郊铁路东北环线工程建设全面提速，这是全国首条轨道交通“四网融合”的市郊铁路示范线。线路建成后，可实现和多条既有城市地铁便捷换乘，回天地区到中心城区的通勤时间将缩短到半小时左右。
据北京交通广播记者黄河了解到的最新情况，东北环线位于本市东北部，利用既有京包铁路和东北环线铁路的廊道资源进行改造升级。南起朝阳区光华路、北到昌平区南口，全长约59公里，共设车站16座，其中换乘站10座，计划2030年全线通车运营。东北环线高效串联国贸CBD、北京朝阳站枢纽、望京酒仙桥组团、回天地区、未来科学城西区、昌平高铁站等重点功能区。可以和既有1号线、5号线、8号线、13号线等10多条地铁便捷换乘。
