新加坡将根据一项新法律对诈骗犯实施鞭刑，该城市国家正努力应对影响数千人的犯罪活动。

　　这项措施于周二在国会会议上获得通过，此举正值金融诈骗在东南亚国家及全球范围内激增。据当地警方数据，自2020年以来，新加坡的诈骗受害者损失约38亿新加坡元（29亿美元），去年损失额更创下11亿新加坡元的纪录。今年上半年案件数量已逼近2万起，造成4.564亿新加坡元的损失，问题的普遍性令政府敲响警钟。

　　“诈骗是目前新加坡最普遍的犯罪类型，”内政部高级政务部长Sim Ann在会议上表示：“这类案件占所有已报告犯罪案件的60%。”
