0236 GMT - Taiwan's economy is likely to remain resilient this year, says UOB economist Ho Woei Chen in a research note. The island's GDP continued its strong outperformance versus market expectation in 3Q, the economist says. This is supported by strong global demand for advanced chips used in AI and 5G application, she adds. UOB raises its forecast for Taiwan's GDP growth in 2025 to 6.5% from 5.4% projected earlier. Key risks to Taiwan's outlook include a slowdown in global demand and the uncertainties posed by U.S. trade policy. (tracy.qu@wsj.com)
