Swiss logistics company Kuehne + Nagel plans to acquire aerospace-logistics provider Eastway Global Forwarding to support its growth ambitions in the fast-developing aerospace industry.

Based in Ireland, family-owned Eastway offers services such as aircraft-engine logistics, aviation logistics and warehousing, and customs brokerage services through a network spanning 130 countries globally.

It also provides full lifecycle services for the aviation-leasing industry.

"Eastway is a good fit for Kuehne + Nagel," Yngve Ruud, Kuehne + Nagel's head of air logistics, said. "The company brings with it a proven track record of success and a strong customer base."

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

Completion is expected by the end of 2025. No financial details were disclosed.
