智通财经APP获悉，知情人士透露，奈飞(NFLX.US)正与iHeartMedia洽谈视频播客授权事宜，以直接与YouTube展开竞争。
iHeartMedia旗下发行多款热门节目，包括《The Breakfast Club》、《Las Culturistas》、《Jay Shetty Podcast》以及《Stuff You Should Know》。
据悉，奈飞希望获得这些视频节目的独家授权，这意味着相关节目的完整剧集将不再上传至YouTube。
若双方达成协议，iHeartMedia也可能不会将其所有播客内容都提供给奈飞。
此外，近期据知情人士消息，奈飞正积极探讨竞购华纳兄弟探索公司(WBD.US)旗下的影视制作及流媒体业务。
在近期的财报电话会议中，奈飞联合首席执行官特德·萨兰多斯(Ted Sarandos)表示，公司无需通过交易即可实现目标，但会关注所有潜在机会，且对能提升其服务对用户吸引力的知识产权感兴趣。管理层明确表示，无意收购有线电视频道，目前主要计划将多余现金用于其他业务举措。
