Atlas Energy Solutions (AESI) reported a Q3 loss late Monday of $0.19 per diluted share, swinging from earnings of $0.04 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected a loss of $0.01.
Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $259.6 million, down from $304.4 million a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $270.6 million.
The company also said it is suspending its quarterly dividend.
Shares of Atlas Energy were down more than 16% in premarket activity Tuesday.
