0952 GMT - Tencent and Alibaba offer good exposure to China's AI sector, which Bernstein analysts view as one of the most interesting markets for AI development. "The state of internet penetration in China means the AI application layer has the potential to progress more quickly than in the rest of the world", they say in a note. Tencent is Bernstein's top long-term pick in the internet sector, and it thinks the market undervalues the company's potential to drive business improvement via AI. The brokerage also rates Alibaba as outperform on the view that AI investments are a more productive use of capital than past initiatives under former CEO Daniel Zhang. Tencent shares last closed at HK$629.00 and Alibaba H-shares were at HK$159.00. (jason.chau@wsj.com)
