Mammoth Minerals (ASX:M79) said an initial sampling program across the Blue Dick trend, part of the Excelsior gold-silver project in Nevada, returned "exceptional" high-grade polymetallic results, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
Results received from rock chip and channel sampling across the trend include 5,980 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of silver, 7.7 g/t grade of gold, 0.7% grade of antimony, 0.6% grade of copper, and 3.9% grade of lead. The results extend the high-grade polymetallic zone to a strike length of 2.9 kilometers.
A petrophysical analysis of the mineralization is being conducted to determine optimal geophysical targeting methods, the filing said.
Mammoth Minerals' shares fell nearly 4% in recent trading on Friday.
