Canyon Resources Continues Progress at Cameroon Project; Shares Down 3%

Canyon Resources (ASX:CAY) continued the development of its Minim Martap project in Cameroon, despite minor delays following the elections, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
Upgrades to the haulage road, which include access to the Daniel Plateau and the Inland Rail Facility, as well as bypass construction, are ongoing, with works remaining on track for completion in the first quarter of 2026, the filing said.
Mining operations are expected to start in the first quarter of 2026, with the first bauxite shipment scheduled for the second quarter, per the filing.
Shares fell nearly 3% in morning trade on Friday.
