EDP-Energias de Portugal said third-quarter profits slid despite higher revenue.
The Portuguese renewable-energy company reported late Wednesday a quarterly net profit of 243 million euros ($279.3 million), a 24% fall compared with 320 million euros in the same period a year prior.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization were down 2% to 1.19 billion euros from 1.21 billion euros. Meanwhile, EBIT came in at 664 million euros from 766 million euros the previous year.
The fall in profits came despite a 4% rise in revenue from energy sales, services and other sources to 3.79 billion euros.
