Agri chemicals manufacturer UPL (NSE:UPL, BOM:512070) has appointed Ravishankar Cherukuri as the chief executive officer for its subsidiary, UPL Sustainable Agri Solutions, effective Thursday, according to a same-day filing to the Indian stock exchanges.
Cherukuri has held key roles at Bayer, where he led operations and transformation across India and Asia, and at Monsanto, where he was the managing director and CEO of Monsanto India.
The company's shares were up nearly 1% in recent trade.
