Tapestry Investors Wanted Even Better F1Q Results -- Market Talk

0920 ET - Coach parent Tapestry reported sales and earnings growth that exceeded analyst expectations and raised guidance for the year. Yet, its stock is down 10% premarket, a sign that investors had expected even better performance. One drag on the company is its Kate Spade brand, which continued to post sales declines. Yet, the bulk of Tapestry's business comes from Coach, which grew sales 21% compared with the same period a year ago.(suzanne.kapner@wsj.com)
