Zai Lab's Q3 Loss Narrows as Revenue Jumps 14%; Shares Fall 8%

Zai Lab (HKG:9688) reported nearly $36 million in net loss for the third quarter, narrowing from a loss of $41.7 million a year earlier, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Thursday.
Shares of the biopharmaceutical company fell over 8% in morning trade Friday.
Loss per share was $0.03, compared with $0.04 in the prior year. Analysts at Visible Alpha estimated a loss of $0.24.
Revenue grew nearly 14% year on year to $116.1 million, figures showed. Analysts at Visible Alpha forecasted revenue of $140.9 million.
