Air New Zealand Buys Back Nearly 311,000 Ordinary Shares

Air New Zealand (ASX:AIZ, NZE:AIR) bought back 310,939 ordinary shares, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.

The company repurchased 152,336 ordinary shares on the Australian Stock Exchange at AU$0.5205 apiece, and 158,603 ordinary shares acquired off-market from the Sovereign through the Minister of Finance at NZ$0.5972 each, the filing said.

The company now has 3.25 billion ordinary shares in issue and 93 shares held as treasury stock.
