The Nasdaq Composite is down 2.8% so far this week. That puts the technology-heavy index on track for the worst weekly performance since early April, when President Trump roiled markets by announcing his sweeping "Liberation Day" tariffs.

Several Magnificent Seven stocks have fallen on investor worries that the AI frenzy has pushed valuations too high. Nvidia has slumped more than 7% so far this week, while Meta Platforms is down 4.5% and Microsoft is off 4%.

Some other AI-linked stocks have fallen even harder: Palantir has lost about 13% and Super Micro Computer has fallen 22%.
