BUZZ-Seagate hits record high after agreeing to exchange $500 mln bond for cash and shares

** Seagate Technology's STX.O shares are up 12% to $282.09 after hitting a record intra-day high on Wednesday following the announcement of a transaction that exchanges $500 million in bonds with an equivalent amount in cash and shares

** STX is on track for a record-high close and is poised for biggest daily pct gain since Oct. 29

** Co said it reached an agreement with certain holders of bonds due in 2028 to exchange $500 mln in principal amount of the notes for approximately $503.4 mln in cash and a number of STX ordinary shares, to be determined over a one-day trading period starting Nov. 5.

** STX has about $3.5 bln in long-term debt as of Oct. 2025

** STX is up 226.4% YTD vs NASDAQ Composite Index's .IXIC 22.3% increase
