Shares of Copper Miners Fall as Prices Drop for Fifth Day Amid Market Sell-Off

MT Newswires Live
Nov 05

Shares of Sandfire Resources (ASX:SFR) fell past 1%, while Capstone Copper (ASX:CSC) saw a decline of around 5%, in recent Wednesday trade, as copper extended its decline for a fifth day, driven by a broader market sell-off, a stronger US dollar, and uncertainty surrounding future interest rate cuts, which dampened investor sentiment towards commodities.

Copper prices dropped 0.4% to close at $10,625 per tonne, down from a record high of $11,200 on Oct. 29.
