ioneer (ASX:INR) said the inclusion of boron in the US Geological Survey's List of Critical Minerals, published in the Federal Register, was a "significant win" for the Rhyolite Ridge lithium-boron project in Nevada, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

The designation of boron as a critical mineral will improve the project's access to additional federal support aimed at securing domestic downstream processing for critical mineral supply chains, per the filing.
