Gerard Ward, 68, says he'll leave New York if Zohran Mamdani is elected mayor.

"I'll go to Florida," he said, adding that he does not believe Mamdani has realistic policies or the experience to govern the city. Ward has lived in Breezy Point, Queens, for 37 years.

Ward, a retired police officer, cast his vote for Andrew Cuomo-who he "can't stand"-due to the former governor's approach to public safety. "I would have voted for Curtis Sliwa," he said. "I like Curtis Sliwa, but my vote would be wasted. It's coming down to Mamdani and Cuomo."
