The Swiss eyecare company confirmed its expectations for sales, profitability and core earnings, and still expects a tariff impact of about $100 million that it aims to fully offset. The market was concerned guidance could be lowered, according to J.P. Morgan. Alcon's sales were in line with expectations and core operating margins better than forecast, the analysts say.
