中国气象局国家空间天气监测预警中心预计，今明两天，可能出现中等强度地磁活动。受其影响，我国北方地区，如黑龙江漠河、新疆、内蒙古等地，今晚到明天凌晨可能出现极光，极光强度预计以红色弱极光为主，小概率会出现红绿复合极光。感兴趣的公众可在天气晴好、光污染较少的区域留意夜空，驻足欣赏。
太阳活动引发极光
极光的出现，背后是太阳活动与地球磁场的奇妙互动。当太阳发生耀斑、日冕物质抛射等剧烈活动时，会释放大量高速带电粒子流。
这些粒子穿越星际空间抵达地球后，与地球磁场相互作用引发地磁活动，在地磁场引导下，部分高能粒子闯入南北两极高空大气层，与大气气体原子撞击并释放能量，最终形成绚丽的极光。根据最新预计，今明两天，还可能将出现中等强度地磁活动，追光爱好者们不要错过机会。
