Airlines for America, an industry group representing American Airlines (AAL), Delta Air Lines (DAL), Southwest Airlines (LUV), United Airlines (UAL) and others, said late Monday that flight schedules will remain reduced in the immediate aftermath of the government reopening.

"Airlines' reduced flight schedules cannot immediately bounce back to full capacity right after the government reopens," the lobbying group said in a statement. "It will take time, and there will be residual effects for days."
