DL Holdings (HKG:1709) expects to post a net profit of between HK$180 million and HK$220 million for the six months ended Sept. 30, compared with HK$7.7 million a year earlier, marking an increase of more than 2,000%, according to a Sunday Hong Kong bourse filing.

Shares of the brokerage gained nearly 9% in Monday morning trade.

The expected rise is mainly attributed to fair value gains on financial assets and investments in associates, as well as substantial growth in its family office business, according to the filing.
