智通财经APP获悉，Meta Platforms (META.US) 周三宣布，其位于威斯康星州比弗丹市的人工智能数据中心已正式破土动工，这标志着该公司全球数据中心总数达到30个。
比弗丹市位于麦迪逊东北约50英里处。Meta将投入约2亿美元用于支持该中心的能源基础设施建设，并与Alliant Energy (LNT.US) 合作解决电力供应问题。
Meta还计划在数据中心投入运营后配备干式冷却技术以降低耗水量。该技术采用闭环系统，将服务器机房内经过加热的循环水输送至通过外界空气冷却的装置，随后再泵回服务器机房。虽然相比冷却塔技术能显著节水和节能，但干式冷却系统的安装成本通常更高，且在炎热气候下效果会打折扣。
Meta表示："比弗丹数据中心投入运营后，将针对我们不断扩展的AI工作负载进行优化，支持日益壮大的行业领先AI基础设施群，为我们交付未来AI创新奠定基础。"
目前Meta正全力投入AI基础设施建设狂潮，计划到2028年在美国投入6000亿美元。
